QI Club Curaçao

Quota International of Curacao was chartered in August 1987. At the moment the club consists of 38 members, all business and professional women who want to make a difference in their community. Upon its establishment Quota International of Curacao formed, together with the Quota International of Aruba, Bonaire and Surinam, part of the 27th District of Quota International Inc. comprised of clubs located in Florida, USA. However, in October 1999 a new District of Quota International was established comprising the clubs of Aruba, Curacao, The Netherlands and Surinam District 42.
Quota International of Curacao follows the general objectives of Quota International Inc., adjusted to the specific needs of the community of which it forms part. Every club-year different committees are formed in order to implement several projects that have been adopted by the membership for execution. The standing committees of the club are: Audit Committee, Bylaws Committee, Hearing Impaired Committee, Disadvantaged Women and Children Committee and Membership Committee. Other committees are Public Relations Committee an Activities Committee. For the club-year 1999-2000 the Activities Committees are Annual Kids Dancethon, Gala Ball and Seminar.
Meetings
The club meets twice a month on the second and the fourth Wednesday of the month. On the second Wednesday there is a Program Lunch meeting from 12.30 - 14.00 hrs., and on the fourth Wednesday the meeting is strictly for business from 6.30 - 8.30 in the evening. Presently the Lunch meetings are held at the Princess Beach Resort and Casino and the Business meetings are held on the premises of the National Archives of the Netherlands Antilles.
Affiliation
The club encourages adult business executives and/or professionals to become member. Affiliation to the club is permitted only upon nomination of individual members and/or the Board of Directors. At least once a year the Board organizes a special membership drive activity at which prospective members are invited upon nomination as abovementioned. The official presentation of new nominees for membership are done at a Membership Business Meeting.
Guests
The club encourages all members to invite their business partners, friends and acquaintances to join program meetings and social activities of the club
